About the Permanent Mission

Advancing Libya’s foreign policy, fostering strategic partnerships, and championing global multilateralism at the United Nations.

Our Institutional Mandate

Operating from Libya House in New York, the Permanent Mission of Libya to the United Nations serves as the primary diplomatic channel between the State of Libya and the international community. In alignment with national foreign policy objectives, the Mission actively engages across the United Nations framework to promote global peace, collective security, and sustainable development.

As a committed partner in the multilateral arena, the Mission articulates Libya’s positions on critical global agendas, negotiates institutional frameworks, and builds strategic coalitions to tackle modern transnational challenges—ranging from international security and climate change to human development and regional cooperation.
